REGAP requires that our adopted greyhounds have a fenced area. REGAP will not do a home visit until a fence is in place or at least under construction. At your request, a REGAP representative can assist with fencing questions or placement.

Greyhounds must live in the house. They cannot adequately be kept in an outdoor kennel or doghouse. "House" does not include garages, sheds or outbuildings. Basements may not be an option, depending on the specific dog. Do you agree to keep your pet inside your home?*

REGAP provides a special collar with a tag bearing your name, address, phone number and REGAP's phone number. When you move or change phone numbers or if the collar wears out, you can order a new collar from REGAP. Do you agree to have your greyhound wear this special collar at all times?*

If, for any reason, you are unable to keep your greyhound do you understand that he/she must be returned to Kansas City REGAP? This means the dog cannot be given to friends, relatives or anyone else without that person going through the entire adoption procedure and being approved by REGAP. $400 Adoption Fee

Effective 9/1/23 The adoption fee for dogs up to age 7 is $400. For dogs age 8+, the adoption fee is $350. This includes spay/neuter and dental cleaning, as well as muzzle, collar, harness and leash.
