Travis came to KCREGAP after his family’s life circumstances forced them to give him up. Beyond that, we don’t know much about his life. It is clear from how affectionate and confident Travis is that he was well loved and well cared for. All he needs is a loving home, a family ready to play, plenty of toys, and soft dog bed.
Travis is well behaved and already knows all the house rules. He really likes his foster brother, a senior whippet, and foster sister, a playful lurcher…although sometimes his energy is a bit much for them. Travis is an excellent car rider, is great at playing fetch, loves to zoom around the back yard with his foster sister, and is happy to give his foster brother some gentle, caring licks. Travis is super affectionate and weighing in at 70 pounds, he thinks he is a lap dog. He is also quite the playful pup. He’d do best with as an only dog with a family ready to play with him several times every day or with a confident and playful dog companion…sometimes his playfulness is too much for smaller, older or low-key dogs.
Travis is a character. He likes to sing along when the kid in his house practices his trumpet. Sometimes when he gets to yawning in the evening, he also gets talkative…we probably should have named him Scooby Doo.
Travis wants you to know that he is not your typical coach potato greyhound. He is energetic. He plays hard, then naps hard, then is ready to play all over again…a few times each day. Travis will make an excellent addition to any family who is ready to give this young and energetic dog lots of playtime, love, and affection.
