Description

My name is Piper. I’m a young, playful greyhound, amusing myself in my new foster home by taking my toys out of their bin one by one, throwing them in the air, and taking them to my bed. My humans frequently find me lying in my bed—sometimes on my back–surrounded by all fifteen toys. I’m very interested in all the sights and sounds of home life and am quickly getting comfortable in my new surroundings. I pay close attention to my humans, following them around, watching what they do, and wanting to be involved—whether they’re brushing their teeth, making coffee, or eating dinner. At first, I was like a toddler on walks, stopping to look at a bird flying overhead or startled by a truck rumbling by. But now I walk like a pro next to my humans so they can get some good exercise. My favorite thing—next to eating breakfast and dinner—is to run circles in the yard and chase a tennis ball. Sometimes I remember to race back to my human with the ball, and sometimes I don’t. I’m sleeping through the night, and I’m thrilled to wake up my humans every morning and start a new day. I feel very special when they stroke my dark brown nose and tell me how very handsome I am. I can’t wait to find my forever home!
